Quick Specs Comparison
| Spec | RIVER 2 | DELTA 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 256 Wh | 1024 Wh |
| AC Output | 300W (600W surge) | 1800W (2700W surge) |
| AC Outlets | 3 | 6 |
| AC Charge Speed | 360W (1 hr) | 1200W (under 1.5 hrs) |
| Solar Input | 110W max | 500W max |
| Weight | 7.7 lbs | 27 lbs |
Battery Capacity: 4x Difference
The DELTA 2's 1024 Wh battery holds four times more energy than the RIVER 2's 256 Wh. In practical terms: the RIVER 2 charges a phone 20+ times, runs a laptop for 4-6 hours, or keeps a portable fridge running for around 5-6 hours. The DELTA 2 runs a full-size refrigerator for 12+ hours, powers a microwave, or provides a whole evening of power to a campsite setup.
Output Power: 300W vs 1800W
The RIVER 2's 300W inverter is plenty for phones, laptops, cameras, and CPAP machines. But it cannot power anything with a heating element — no coffee makers, no microwave, no space heaters. The DELTA 2's 1800W inverter handles virtually any home appliance short of a central AC unit or electric dryer.
Portability
At 7.7 lbs, the RIVER 2 is genuinely carry-on portable — easily tossed in a backpack. The DELTA 2 at 27 lbs is manageable with its integrated handle but stays in the car-to-campsite category.
Which One Should You Buy?
Buy the RIVER 2 if: You primarily need device charging, CPAP power, or a small fan. You value portability and want something travel-friendly. You're on a budget doing car camping or day trips.
Buy the DELTA 2 if: You want real emergency home backup — running a fridge, kitchen appliances, or power tools. You're doing base camp style camping with significant power needs. You want the ability to expand capacity later with an EcoFlow extra battery.
The DELTA 2 is the better long-term value — it's the power station you grow into, not out of. Shop both at LockTech & Gear with free shipping here.
